[Important]Renewal of Tokyo Tech Mail system [日本語]
We sincerely would like to apologize for the failure at 14th September. It happened from the beginning of this replacement, but its reason was some failures of the other independent systems for authentication.About every email which was delivered to the new system between 13:00 14th and about 12:00 15th
They have been copied to the old system. We made a new folder which was named mail0915xxxx on your mailbox and putted them into it. So please check it at Tokyo Tech Mail[OLD](webmail) at Tokyo Tech portal. And it is necessary to move these emails to your folder as inbox if you connect to the mail system by POP3.About the renewal
Due to the end of hardware maintenance agreement, we will replace the system of Tokyo Tech Mail.Date of renewal: 14:00 September 22th (Fri.) 2017.
Note: we will switch our mail transfer agent from the old system to the new system.
About TokyoTech mail auth ID
It becomes the user name of your email account on the new system, which is only used to login our email servers with your email client software like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. On the old system it was as same as your email address. Then on the new system it will be changed to TokyoTech auth ID for protecting from hacking. It never means changing your email address. Please get your TokyoTech mail auth ID after 13rd September befor starting setting your email client software.
About Webmail settings
Folders, Auto forword, Filters, Address books will be copied by the system administrators.
About mail data
After the renewal date, the system administrators will copy your old mail data into a Webmail folder which keeps the same structure of your folders in the old system. The system administrators will send messages when copy process is started/done. Please do not modify the folder while copy process is running.
Please update your mail configurations depending on your access methods.

About the end of the old system
We are going to announce its date after it becomes clear. The date will be after October.
Users of Webmail
From the renewal date, please use the new system by clicking the link "Tokyo Tech Mail[NEW]" in Portal menu.[NEW] is the new mail system, and [OLD] is the old mail system.
Until the system administrators finish copying mail data, please use the old Webmail system to reply old mails.
Users of POP-based mail software
To use mail software, please get tokyotech mail auth ID from Tokyo Tech Portal.Please change mail account for the new system on your mail software.
Please refer to "how to configure mail software" for more information.Users of IMAP-based mail software
To use mail software, please get tokyotech mail auth ID from Tokyo Tech Portal.Please add a new mail account for the new system on your mail software.
Please refer to "how to configure mail software" for more information.Until the administrators finish copying mail data, please use the old account to reply old mails.
When you have received an administrator's message that copying your mail data was done, you may delete old account in your mail software.
Maintainers of personal mailing lists (MLs) [aaaa.b.cc-xxxxx@ml.m.titech.ac.jp]
All data related to MLs will be copied by the system administrators. Hence, you cannot change configuration of MLs while copying. It will be unavailable from 9:00 on September 25th to 9:00 on September 26th.Although you can send and receive any maling lists normally, the sequential number of the mailing lists will be duplicated, which will be delivered from 9:00 on September 25th to 9:00 on September 26th.
Mail domain administrators in departments and laboratories
All data related to MLs will be copied by the system administrators. Hence, you cannot change configuration of MLs while copying. It will be unavailable from 9:00 on September 25th to 9:00 on September 26th.Although you can send and receive any emails normally, the sequential number of the mailing lists will be duplicated, which will be delivered from 9:00 on September 25th to 9:00 on September 26th.
