[Important] Renewal of Tokyo Tech Mail
We are going to renew an email system since Tokyo Tech Mail which is currently working will be end of service life in the end of September, 2023. We will kindly ask you to cooperate in order to move on to a new email system.Disable the service in a previous system

We are planning to disable the service in a previous system.
You will see "Tokyo Tech Mail" only on the Portal menu.
- Previous outgoing server: mailv3.m.titech.ac.jp
- Previous incoming server: smtpv3.m.titech.ac.jp
Renewal date
Thursday, September 21, 2023, 14:00(*)From 14:00 on the above-mentioned date, your emails will be sent to a NEW email system. If you use an email application, you are required to change necessary settings after the renewal date. Please refer to "Guides for each email application".
Settings of Webmail (Tokyo Tech Mail)
You can keep on using Webmail without any settings. You have the same settings such as folders, auto-forwarding, auto-sorting and contacts as ones you had in a previous system.
Email data
From the next day of the renewal date, a system admin will sequentially start to copy all email data from a previous system to a new system one by one.
When starting and completing the data copy, you will receive each of their notifications.
The email data in Inbox will be copied to "inbox[date]" in order to prevent from POP double-receiving.
If you delete or move folders before the data copy is complete, there will be the possibility to fail in the data copy. After you receive the complete notification, you can do them.
Guides for each email application
Please note that after the renewal date, unless you change necessary settings, you will not be able to receive emails on your email application.

Disable a service in a previous system
We are planning to disable a service in a previous system after October, 2023.
There will be an announcement when the schedule is confirmed.
For users of Webmail (Tokyo Tech Mail)
From the renewal date, there will be appeared "Tokyo Tech Mail[NEW]" (a new system) and Tokyo Tech Mail[OLD] (a previous system) on the Portal menu. New emails will reach "Tokyo Tech Mail[NEW]". When you want to check and reply former emails, please do them from "Tokyo Tech Mail[OLD]" until the data copy is completed by a system admin.For users of email applications via POP
After the renewal date, you are required to change server names on "Account settings".Please note to make sure that the data copy is successfully complete before changing server names.
Since your former emails are saved on your PC, the data copy will not give any influence on your email application.

For users of email applications via IMAP
After the renewal date, you are required to ADD a new account on your email application so that you can receive new emails.Although new emails will reach a new account but you need to check and reply through a previous account until the data copy is complete.
When you receive a notification that the data copy is complete, please delete the previous account from your email application.

For users of Personal Mailing Lists
(For ML administrators such as aaaa.b.cc-xxxxx@ml.m.titech.ac.jp)
All data will be copied automatically by the system administrator. Please note that every setting on ML disable from Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 9:00 - Thursday, September 21, 2023, 14:00.There will be the possibility to receive duplicate sequence numbers, if emails are delivered while the system copying the data.
There are no changes in use.
For users of E-mail Domain Forwarding Service
(For e-mail domain administrators of academic major / laboratory)
All data will be copied automatically by the system administrator. Please note that every setting on ML disable from Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 9:00 - Thursday, September 21, 2023, 14:00.There will be the possibility to have duplicate sequence numbers, if emails are delivered while the system copying the data.
There are no changes in use.
